Travis Knudsen

Travis Knudsen is the Executive Director of the Lane Regional Air Protection Agency in Oregon, where his agency enforces the Clean Air Act, protects the airshed for the communities living beside industry, and helps rural towns breathe easier. Before that he spent a decade as a broadcast meteorologist, turning atmospheric chaos into something a family could plan a weekend around. In both jobs the work has been the same. Read a system nobody can see, and make it legible to the people living inside it.

He writes The Conscious Architect, a weekly newsletter, and is at work on a memoir of the same name. He lives in Eugene, Oregon, with his husband Michael and their cat Zeus. He paints on an iPad and writes at the kitchen table before the workday starts.
